1. Before you are allowed to apply for the visa at the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia, you are required to sign a letter of agreement, agreeing to the rules imposed by your school.

2. One of the rules is to undergo self-quarantine at places agreed by your school.

3. Without accepting the agreement letter, your school will not issue you the Pledge Letter(誓約書), an additional document required (due to the pandemic) during visa application at the embassy.

4. If you refuse to cooperate and adhere to the rules after getting the visa, the school will not hesitate to report you to the Japanese immigration, and your visa will be revoked.

1. Defer to a later intake, hopefully the Japanese government lift the self-quarantine ruling by then.
